  • I got motion sickness as a child in cars, on carnival rides, riding horses and in boats. As an adult, I still cannot ride in the backseat of a car without getting sick. I cannot even watch someone playing a video game where the screen moves.

  • The cost of food has risen dramatically in the past year. However, I got a 10 pound spiral ham today for $14.90. That's $1.49 a pound and it was delivered to my house. I think that's pretty good, all things considered.

  • I'm hoping that more parents are aware of the dire consequences of not bringing their child to the emergency room after a bump on the head. Yesterday was the funeral of a 16 year old boy who banged his head a week ago. Four days later they had to shut off the life-support equipment.

  • I've always said that nobody loves you like your dog. No one misses you or greets you with as much enthusiasm as a dog. Whether you're gone 5 minutes or 5 weeks, you get the same greeting. This is sweet and that is one big doggy!

  • At my local Stop and Shop I can scan my own groceries, pack them in my own bags and check out without having to talk with anyone- FANTASTIC
